
FARM MANAGER KILOCHA
The Tea Research Institute of Tanzania (TRIT) was established in 1996 as an autonomous
organization representing the Government of Tanzania and the tea industry. Its duty is to support
the continued development of the tea industry, both large and small-scale producers, with
appropriate high quality, cost effective research and technology transfer. It is funded by both public
and private and by grant aid from willing donors. TRIT invites suitably qualified Tanzanians to fill
the following vacant position:-
FARM MANAGER KILOCHA
QUALIFICATION
-At least a Diploma or Certificate holder with good working experience in Crop
Production, Horticulture, Extension and related fields.
-Basic knowledge of tea production or any related perennial crops. Experience in
handling tea estates operations will give added advantage.
-Exposure to farming systems research and participatory approaches and computer
literacy will give an added advantage.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
- Hardworking with capacity to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Good analytical capabilities
- Persuasive and able to work with different categories of farmers.
- Capable of working towards achieving a team oriented goals and objectives.
- Facilitation and organizational skills particularly on managing large number of
workers to accomplish diverse tasks in an estate environment.
-Should be under 40 years.
REMUNERATION

commensurate with qualifications and experience.
DUTY STATION
TRIT operates at two locations: Ngwazi Tea Research Station, Mafinga, Mufindi District,
Iringa Region on the shores of the scenic Lake Ngwazi and Marikitanda Tea Research
Station located near Amani in Muheza District, Tanga Region.
