Position Description:
The TPS Ltd share holder & MD, would now let the opportunity of the company’s development management to a motivated & ambitious person; the candidate is expected to have excellent management skills with solid background in electro/mechanicals hydraulic services and/or petroleum and gas industry
TPS Ltd is a Franco/Tanzanian registered private company with limited shares, having her key activities based on engineering & commercial services in hydraulics , petroleum , chemical & gas Industry with an average T.O of Usd 2 mls
A work force of 30 employees led by 4 engineers are actually covering all Tanzania activities, and soon starting in Uganda and Burundi
As of today ;
TPS is the leader in the petroleum and gas industry engineering service providers in Tanzania with a commercial services supported by:
• 12 exclusive factory representations in Petroleum industry
• 3 representations in Gas industry
• 3 representations in other various businesses
STAFF STRUCTURE at TPS today
• TPS HQ 1: Managing Director, 1 Engineer as technical manager, 3 skilled staffs at administration and accounts
• Team 1: Services and maintenance team; 1 Engineer / 12 skilled staff
• Team 2: Projects, depots, LNG & LPG; 1 Engineer / 5 skilled staff / sub contractors
• Team 3: Metrology, environment & testing services / 1 Engineer & 2 skilled staff
• Team 4: Economist & Commercial / 1 Expatriate supervising accounts &
• Procurement procedures: Commercial activities with the MD
THE NEW DEVELOPMENT MANAGER DUTIES
Immediate duties:
• Familiarization with company
• Close supervision and animation of teams 1,2 & 3 , with Technical manager
• Approach and coordination of team 4 & general technical organization
• Public relations with clients and MD
• Approach and understanding of accounts & administration
Near Future
• Optimization of maintenance, projects activities and logistics
• Preparing and negotiating existing or new contracts
• Optimization of invoices and payment system
• Supervise, optimization of spare parts control and purchasing structure of team 4
• Optimization of staff skills and quality control at sites
Later on
• Take over the management of the company including all the above and adding
• Development of new areas of intervention (As per niches opportunities)
• Control of orders and optimize stocks
• Optimize Control of invoices and payments by clients
• Commercial activities in TZ and development of TPS in Burundi and Uganda etc ….
• General management
